Bulgaria receives 4 offers for construction of Danube Bridge II

The contractor should be picked with the next 6 months, said deputy transport minister Vesela Gozpodinova.
The commission in charge of the procedure is expected to forward for review in Brussels the appraisal of the bids within a month.
The commission will first determine if the candidates comply with the procedural criteria and then it will assess the technical parameters of their offers.
The contract may not necessarily go to the lowest bidder.
The project's total worth is 226 mln euro. The ISPA resource includes a 70 mln euro EU grant.
The EIB will provide 70 mln euro for the construction of the bridge, 5 mln euro will come from the French Development Agency, 20 mln euro from Germany's КfW and 62 mln euro from the state budget.
The 2 km four-lane facility should be launched by 2009.
